"There must be a reason why some people can afford to live well. They must have worked for it. I only feel angry when I see waste. When I see people throwing away things we could use."
~Mother Teresa~
The whole idea surfaced, when I needed a home for my crochet needles. I thought of making a crochet pencil case, but then we had some tube sweet holders that were going in the kids’ school recycle bag and I just knew!!!! As a kid I remember my grandma used to put her knitting needles in a tube that had a crochet jacket …. so there is a bit of sentiment in this project as well.
I always have left over yarn from my crochet projects and that was just perfect to make the crochet tube jacket.
So I made one last year for myself and since made a few for gifts to friends.
When I saw the project on Makers-online website, it just encouraged me to write this blog post to show you how I’ve gone about making it. Check my flickr for larger versions of the pattern
Enjoy making your own tube jackets!!!!

I love your cozy mug picture! Congrats on the win.
Do you have a crochet pattern you can point me towards for those?

Pammy - thanks for your comment. I've not written a pattern for it, but can do so some or other time - not sure when (so watch this space). xxx

Hi Carina,
What a nice idea!
I've used a hair mask pot (not sure if this is the right word...) to crochet. If you visit my blog you could see it.
Kind regards from Spain
